About me

born in Uijeongbu, Korea and now live and work in Bremen, Germany

As an artistic praxis, I do photography to conceptualise my thoughts about the existence. After many years of focussing on moving images, my interests moved on still image. At this turning point, multiple experiences of other medium in art like painting, performance and curating affects me a lot to change my perception of creativity. Even also, the foreign environment of Germany and Europe.

In a study of Integrated Design which means interdisciplinary design, I specialised in photography and making books more than the other medium. Based on documentary and snapshot style, my photography is developed to make viewers infer the narratives themselves. By flowing between conceptional approach and autobiographical character, I depict the moments which interactions occur in multiple social situations. By creating art, I mostly aim at defining my identity and finding own position out in society.

Nowadays, i explore further in a field of photography and publication design for my master’s degree at the Hochshcule für Künste Bremen with Pr. Andrea Diefenbach and Pr. Andrea Rauschenbusch. Also, I am working on a new project ruminating on past years and reflecting my position as a marginal man in this foreign society.

Every photographs and texts are made by me.
